From what I've read form her old Model Mayhem accounts I couldn't see any of the problems she mentioned she was having. I can't listen to her saying that ''she was self conscious about her body and her birthmarks as a teenager'' and look at those hundred nude photos she did at the same time. Even though I agree with some people the interview was beyond rude, I can't feel sorry for Mary. ''I watched this Woody show interview and Mary's crying video. You guys have continuously impressed me with your thoughts on things and after I wrote that paragraph, I saw a lot of the regular commenters come forward and explicitly say that they did NOT agree with the woody show, so I was definitely more or less just referring to the random stragglers who rolled in and said their piece and then left. I was aware that my previous paragraph was very "in your face" that's why when I saw your comment, I felt it might be about me. I probably should have been more careful with my wording and not lumped everyone who had the opposite opinion into one group but it's not always easy to keep track of who's who when I'm just reading through the buttloads of comments that are added each day.Īlso, sorry if I also came off as rude saying that you were making a subliminal comment. I think everyone got pretty worked up over that topic because, for once, it brought about two very different sets of opinions so I do recognize that I probably came off a little rude. I did see a few comments that bothered me because they seemed to imply that the way she was dressing was wrong and that she was a slut or something (sorry, those comments are deeply buried now, I can't be bothered to find them) but the people who said that were random commenters, I think. The few of you that have been repeatedly commenting since the beginning have all been very nice and respectful and I think we all stand for the same things in relation to women's rights and I've always thought that was great. I didn't mean to imply that you all thought she deserved to harassed or assaulted, I certainly don't think that at all. So, taking all that into consideration, I was mostly bothered by some of the stuff the newbies were saying and I'm sure I probably took some other comments incorrectly as well. Also, like you said, stuff doesn't always translate very well through the internet. As NimuNimu pointed out, there was alot of newcomers and a lot of people saying different variations of why they didn't agree with what happened. However, I was annoyed so I can understand that I came off a little rude.
Ok, sorry to carry over a now old conversation (even though the event happened like, last week) to the new thread but since I was brought up at the end of the last thread, I want to address I said, I purposely tried to stay away from super negative, insulting terms like "disgusting" when I wrote that paragraph because I didn't want you guys to think that I suddenly thought you all were scum for having different opinions.
